Meet the senior living experts of Mennowood Retirement Community
Ann has been at Mennowood since June 2017. She loves living here and all her new friends. Ann thinks the food is great and everyone is so friendly here.
Jackie worked at a bank and then had two children. She participated in a lot of volunteer work in hr children's schools and activities. She also served as a volunteer for over thirty PTA organizations. She did tutoring in the school system as well. Jackie moved into Mennowood in August 2018 and likes all the friendships she has made while being here. She said everyone is very congenial.
Brett was a teacher assistant for 28 years. She has been at Mennowood since October 2015. Brett says she loves living at Mennowood because we are a family here. Everyone cares about each other. Brett found a new love in her 60's when she started painting. She takes painting classes and she loves doing Canvas & Colas at Mennowood.
Candy moved to Mennowood in November 2011. She loves living at Mennowood! She loves the people and the family environment.
Bobbye moved to Mennowood in March 2017 from Missouri. She was a military wife and traveled all over the country. She came to Mennowood to be closer to her son.
Hal is a retired manufacturing engineer. He has three children. His is a Disabled American Veteran and a Shriner. Hal says Mennowood "fits him to a tee." he moved to Mennowood in January 2017. He feels like he is in a nice place and is very well taken care of. He says it is a nice family atmosphere.
Gene worked in the Newport News Shipbuilding for 43 years. He has worked on all types of ships and submarines. He and his wife moved here in November 2017, when their home became too much to care for. He and his wife are very happy here. The people are really good and the food is good.
Ada moved into Mennowood in April 2018. She used to be a buyer at the Leggett's department store. When she had her three children she bacame very involved in their activities and supported her husband who was in the space program at NASA. Ada enjoys living her. The staff is very attentive to her needs and very pleasant.
Edna moved into Mennowood in July 2012. She was one of 12 children. She likes living here and likes the people.
